A Note on This Beer
For many, the joy of plucking honeysuckle flowers and sucking the delicate nectar from the bottom is a beloved childhood memory. Martin House Brewing captured that nostalgic experience with this sweet, yet tangy orange, vanilla, and honey-infused Sour Ale!
The Fort Worth brewery’s faithful fans relish the memory of that youthful delicacy as much as they relish every release from these Sour masters:
“Martin House, you never disappoint! Straight childhood memories right here!” @Gina Propp
“I intend on stocking up like a squirrel before winter!” @saintpadraig2
“I grew up stealing honeysuckle in our backyard, and now I wanna steal this beer.” @Julie Hill
Infusing real oranges and vanilla with the honey makes this Sour “a bit more enhanced” than the sweet flowers, according to the brewery. The lemony pucker of the base beer gives new, exciting life to the brew’s clover backbone and velvety vanilla flavor. Rounded by sweet, orange citrus and a touch of lactose, each sip swirls with the flavors of an entire field of honeysuckles!
Picking those little flowers was always tedious work, but the reward was palpably sweet. With this sunshiney Martin House brew, you can have all the reminiscent honeysuckle satisfaction you crave, without any of the laborious foraging.
