A Note on This Beer
Lately, no matter where I turn, one name is on every craft fan’s lips: Black Project.
And I’m not just talking about the lucky folks on Untappd who’ve snagged a taste of these Colorado Sour masters and rated them a massive 4.20.
From a spot as one of Food & Wine’s 25 Essential Colorado Breweries, to making Craft Beer & Brewing’s list of the Top Breweries of the Year, it seems everyone wants a piece...ahem, sip…of Black Project.
And, they’ll do whatever it takes to get it. Like @terpsandbrews who offered up treasures from Great Notion and De Garde in exchange for pure, unadulterated enjoyment.
So, you might want to be extra cautious when cans of today’s blood-orange soaked Hoplite Sour Ale finally land on your doorstep.
Because if any of your craft-lovin’ buddies find out that you scored a lip-smacking Sour from these hard-to-find brewers, they’ll absolutely want a sip. Or two. Or three.
Heck, once its puckering waves of blood orange, drippy apricot, and mild funk dance across their taste buds, they’ll probably get down on their hands and knees and beg you to part with a whole can!
But don’t.
Because then you’ll miss out on being one of the only craft fans outside Colorado to try Black Project.
Yeah, you might want to consider putting a lock or a super sweet security system on your beer fridge. Or, simply draw the shades and tell your friends you’re out of town for a few days — whatever you have to do to keep this tart treat all for yourself.
This beer is too new for ratings!!!
