A Note on This Beer
According to legend, the piña colada was invented by Roberto Cofresi, a 19th century pirate looking to boost morale among his crew.
After tasting today’s If You Like Mead-A-Colada, I’m guessing it worked! I know my morale skyrocketed the moment I started sipping this cocktail-inspired honey wine.
Which makes sense — if this delightful flavor combo can lift the spirits of a scurvy-ridden sea-dog, it can certainly take my mind off of my busted mower.
To make it, the crew at W A Meadwerks started with their crisp and smooth mead, then loaded it with a galleon’s worth of real pineapple, silky vanilla, and luscious coconut. It tastes like something you’d get at a beach bar, but it’s lighter, crisper, and more crushable than anything from a blender.
Whether you’re being chased across the Caribbean by the Royal Navy, or just dealing with the day-to-day stress of a jam-packed work week, this tropical Mead will have you singing sea shanties in no time!
Yo-ho yo-ho! Drink up, me hearties yo-ho!
W A Meadwerks has medaled at some of the country’s premier Mead competitions, including the Texas International Wine Competition, the Mead Crafters Competition, Orpheus MeadFest, and the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition!
