I always fantasize about what it’d be like to own a brewery. Just round up my best homebrew buddies, find a cool space, and dedicate my life to the creation of craft beer!

Southern Grist is the kind of success story that dreams like that are made of!

It started in 2014, when three co-workers at a San Francisco tech company quit their corporate jobs to follow their dream. Who knew they’d soon be one of HopCulture’s Best New Breweries, with creative sippers landing on lists like Craft Beer & Brewing’s “Best Beers of 2020?”

Since opening in 2016, Southern Grist has quickly become one of the hottest spots in Tennessee. Which is why we’re lucky to have a few cases of their delicious Fruited Sour to share!

Imperial Fruit Cocktail Hill is chock-full of peaches, pineapples, pears, and cherries, so each sip bursts with mouthwatering fruit flavor. They also conditioned it on lactose, so it’s got a lush, nectarous mouthfeel. It’s like eating a bag of Gushers candies — literally filling your mouth with sweet n’ tangy juice!

Winner winner, chicken dinner! Seriously though, I drank this while I ate my chicken dinner and it was delightful. Powerful fruit flavor, but not too sweet. You definitely won’t forget it’s beer. 😊
