About This Beer

To craft this sumptuous Mardi Gras king cake in a can, the Ingenious crew started with a roasty Imperial Stout, then they conditioned it on loads of vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and cream cheese. And it’s got a big 12.5% ABV to really get you in that Mardi Gras mindset! It has such a deliciously rich, authentic flavor, you might convince yourself Ingenious is a proper New Orleans brewery and not from Humble, Texas.

Tasting Notes

Too sticky sweet, which a king cake isn’t. (The cake itself is rather bland; just the icing is sweet.) This is just impossible to drink.

Intriguing at first glance. Bought it to share with a friend who is on Krewe of Endymion. We are both big stout fiends. Neither of us could finish this. Too heavy on the “cream cheese” profile. A definite miss in my book.

Nice cinnamon and vanilla aroma and flavor. Very King Cake pastry-like. Medium-full bodied with a nice lightly sweet roasty finish. 🇮🇱🇺🇸 Actually 12.5% per can.
