A Note on This Beer
About 40 minutes from the big city, in the small town of Festus, sits Main & Mill — a place Sauce Magazine lauds as one of the Best-Kept Secrets in St. Louis Beer.
The small-batch operation is a huge attraction for St. Louis craft fans! They flock to the brewery to imbibe in the delectable creations pouring out of the tiny pub space — particularly, Main & Mill‘s thick and sticky Imperial Stouts.
And for the first time in its history, Main & Mill bottled up their beloved Imperial Mexican Chocolate Stout and handed some over to Tavour!
Main & Mill crafts this desserty Dark Beer using cinnamon and Mexican vanilla beans on top of 4.5 lbs of cacao nibs per barrel.
Then, they kick this chocolate-vanilla swirl up a notch by adding 1.5 lbs of Ancho and New Mexican Chiles to lend nuances of sweet, dried cherries with a subtle kick of peppery heat.
Normally only available to the brewery’s very exclusive membership club, you’ll never see this spiced, fudgey Stout outside of Festus, Missouri.
Which means, today is your only chance to taste this rare brew that fans like @franjones6663 and @vinsanity513 on Instagram are willing to give up their Tired Hands, Hudson Valley, and Eighth State beers for!
So, score yourself a bottle from our 130 bottle stash now, and start indulging in the sweet thrill of being one of the only people outside of St. Louis to get in on this boozy secret.
