A Note on This Beer

Carefully wind your way two hours west of Boston, and you’ll hit the quaint village of Turners Falls. This is where the Brick & Feather team crafts their small-batch IPAs — gems that don’t often leave the taproom!

Like In Absentia IPA. Hopped with five kinds of tropical American hops and brewed on Brick & Feather’s manual 7-barrel system, the beer is a worthy quest for hopheads.

Every covetous sip flows with nuances of orange zest, pineapple, and mango, backed with dank passionfruit! That fluffy-soft mouthfeel, too… whew, it’s like sipping on a cloud of juice.

And, guess what — this is THE BEER that Boston.com called out as their top choice when hailing Brick & Feather as one of the top 5 breweries in the state!

Which is even more impressive when you consider that their beers aren’t even in the Boston area yet. Even In Absentia is all cleaned out at the taproom currently — this hidden gem just got even more valuable.

Rated 4.21 on Untappd and a World-Class 95/100 on BeerAdvocate!

Kinda thick and malty. Boozy resins as well. Tastes like that 11% I just had should have but it’s a 7%

for only being canned a little over a month ago this one really missed the mark. Tastes old and flat what a shame.

The pine-yness comes through heavy and it tastes like an ok West Coast style...

For 7% beer does taste pretty good. I’ve had other 7% beers that are awful. This has great taste. Yes it is piney but it’s enjoyable

Ripe pineapple and orange aromas. Medium mouthfeel, slightly sweet. Really well-balanced tropical and citrus notes. Just a solid, tasty, fruit-forward IPA.
