About This Beer
For this decadent dessert, the Stout savants at Prairie started by aging a rich base in bourbon barrels. Then they layered it with toasted coconut, chocolate chips, and real cake mix.
Tasting Notes
Creamy currents of dark cocoa and whiskey caramel cascade through every thick sip. Vanilla oak tones melt into the sumptuous cake flavors before a final flood of chocolate on the back end. Careful though — it all hides an enormous 14.9% ABV!

A bottle of beer you can spend the entire evening with… I did! Delicious chocolate sweetness, bourbon strength and a great creamy mouthfeel! I’m glad I got three! 🍺

Rich but not overly boozy bourbon flavor. Subtle hints of chocolate on the finish

I was pleasantly surprised. No one flavor overpowers the other, in fact, they all complement each other nicely. Does not drink like a nearly 15% ABV brew. Solid!

Creamy head fading in espresso-like foam, German Chocolate cake aroma minus the pecans, sweet dark chocolate taste with toasted coconut and vanilla notes, silky and smooth, and a warming Bourbon finish, very deceptive for a beer with 14.9% ABV.
