A Note on This Beer

Adroit Theory says today’s Schwarzbier may be the “best beer to quaff on a snowy day.”

After testing a few sips myself, I'm going to keep a few cans of Information Overdose in the fridge for just that purpose!

From the first pop of the tab, fresh coffee and rich dark chocolate notes tumble straight out of the can and right into the senses. Sweet, roasty aromas and flavors enliven the palate, like a pair of jolly beer elves ready to help accomplish any snow day task!

Shoveling the walk, making snow angels with the kids, sitting in a favorite comfy chair and watching those big fluffy flakes fall — the flavors of slightly bready malts and almost smoky nuttiness in this Schwarzbier were built for any and all snow day adventures.

Plus, it packs a deceptively light, crisp body and immensely-drinkable 4% ABV for all day, winter-fun crushability!

For Tavoursters in the snowiest regions of the country, this is just the beer to keep at the ready for the next snowpocalypse. Or, if you’re in a milder climate, Information Overdose provides that roasty toasty winter-wonderland flavor, no shoveling or snow boots required!

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

I’m glad I tried this one. It takes an Octoberfest beer to another level. Very heavy with coffee/roasty notes with a bit of smoke. Very well made.

Flavor is of biscuit, mesquite, char, caramel, and dry woody and nutty notes. Very tasty smokey lager, drinks easy and has lots of flavor at a low abv. I could drink this semi regularly.

It's a beautiful combination of a stout and ale. Perfectly drinkable, all the flavors of a stout without being so heavy. My favorite yet!

Good winter brew! Not great overall! But for sure worth a try if you haven't had a Schwarzbier!

Nice dark and roasty scent upon cracking one open. Thin and light bodied texture typical of a lager. However the beer still delivers with smooth sweet darkness.

Crisp and light but with a nice complexity. Has some lovely coffee notes with hints of chocolate and caramel. That said, it is not too sweet and has a nice bitterness. Goes down super easy and a great pairing with food. 1.75 Thumbs up!

Ok, but nothing special. Very light, much less malt and much less body in general than I expect from this style. A little nice smokiness, but not enough. Adroit Theory is usually awesome; this beer is only Ok.

Adroit Theory never disappoints. This beer was an easy-drinker and was fine with that in-mind. I highly recommend anyone buying anything this brewery does

An instant favorite, as i use Tavour more and more, i seem to grab things based on brewery, not on style. But Schwarzbiers are a favorite, and Adroit is becoming that. Drinkable as a lighter beer, but all the darkness i love.

Very roasty and smokey. This is my first time trying a black lager and was very impressed, especially as someone who doesn't care for conventional lagers.
