A Note on This Beer
You could say the husband and wife duo that started Casita Brewing Company are chasing their version of the American dream. After Ryan and Mahalia Witter-Merithew got married, they spent 10 years cutting their teeth in the brewery business all over the world, from Denmark, to England, to Vermont.
They finally opened their very own “little house” taproom in Mahalia’s home town of Wilson, North Carolina in the summer of 2020. Since then, they’ve become an incredible boon for the community. They’ve invited customers to help them break Guiness Book World Records, started a free fitness ‘movers and shakers club,’ and donated to local nonprofits.
And of course, they’ve served up amazingly fresh, ever-rotating, small-batch brews along the way!
Today we’re pleased as heck to bring you something truly special from Casita and their friends at Resident Culture Brewing Company: a citrus-soaked, tropical Hazy IPA with an added hint of quenching Pilsner!
Inland Times has all the beloved attributes of a favorite Hazy: heaps of Citra, Sabro, Moteuka, and Pacific Sunrise Hops for huge flavor and aroma hits of fresh-squeezed citrus, sweet mango, and ripe melon. But, Casita also brewed the entire batch on flaked corn AND a skosh of Pilsner for a surprisingly light body and refreshing drinkability.
Ryan and Mahalia always wanted to brew and share interesting, experimental styles like Inland Times. Grab a can or two to celebrate Casita and taste what 10+ years of worldly brewing can do!
