About This Beer
The team took a Barleywine aged for 15 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, then conditioned with fresh, medium-toast American oak and blended it with one they aged for a massive 43 months in Kentucky rye whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
Expect to find rich, malty cocoa tones accented by plenty of dark fruit and whiskey caramel. Vinous dessert wine notes ought to mingle with raisin, fig, and dried cherry nuances in each chewy sip. And anticipate that all of it will come with the earthy nuances of oaky tannins, vanilla-inflected pipe tobacco, and blackstrap molasses.
