A Note on This Beer
Did you know that the earliest account of humans drinking Mead was way back in 7,000 B.C., in ancient China?
Today, I’m happy we’re no longer sipping this historic honey wine out of clay jars. But, if it comes from Garagiste — Untappd’s #12 Rated Brewery in the World — I’d drink it out of a ziplock bag if I had to.
And that especially goes for today’s mouthwatering tropical brew, Intergalactose! This velvety dessert is the brainchild of Garagiste and their neighbors at Arkane Aleworks, and it’s so sorbet-like, I’m tempted to slurp it up with a straw!
To craft it, these Mead Masters used orange blossom honey paired with sweet-tart passionfruit, juicy tangerines, and tangy raspberries. Creamy lactose and a dash of vanilla give it a mouthfeel as luscious as whipped cream.
Did I mention that this refreshing sorbet weighs in at a boozy 12% ABV? You know they weren’t making Mead like THIS back in the Neolithic Age!
Unfortunately, we’ve got just 300 bottles of Intergalactose to share with all of Tavour. So, I recommend grabbing yours fast, before it’s ancient history.
Garagiste Meadery holds stacks of awards from East Coast Mead Maker, Hanuhpu Day, and more; Arcane Aleworks holds three gold medals from the 2018 Best Florida Beer Championships!
