About This Beer
When it comes to crafting a complexly delicious Barleywine, patience is a virtue. The dexterous crew at Bottle Logic is well aware of this — they cut no corners in the making of Intrepid Orchid (2022) BBA Vanilla Barleywine! Before crafting their original batch, the brewers created multiple small batches with various types of vanilla beans, until they landed on the variety that best complemented the Barleywine’s luxurious flavors — Madagascar vanilla beans!
Tasting Notes
Every complex sip of Intrepid Orchid (2022) sings with lavish layers of caramelized brown sugar, rich nougat, and top-shelf bourbon. Undertones of new leather, whiskey vanilla, toffee, and date round out the sip with an impeccably satisfying sweetness.

Breaking out the Bottle Logic for Easter with my cousin! Delicious barley wine that gets more delicious as it warms. Vanilla is great…one of the better beers I’ve ever had

Pretty rough. Sickly sweet and one dimensional flavor of synthetic vanilla.

very damn sweet, vanilla for days. 4oz was more than enough for me!

Heavy handed with the residual sugar and the vanilla adjunct. Drinkable, but the base beer flavors and barrel nuances are lost backstage.

my goodness - I’m not a barleywine guy, but this knocked my socks off. creamy, perfectly sweet vanilla all the way. Surprisingly, for me, excellent.
