About This Beer
The GABF award-winning, Belgian-style specialists at Taxman Brewing expertly nurtured the brew’s special Belgian yeast for enormous esters of lush banana, baked apple, and coriander. Treacly Meadowfoam honey brightens the natural sweetness of the phenols in the brew while soft vanilla rounds out the fruit and spice flavors
Tasting Notes
Every silky swig starts sweet before flowing into deliciously intricate complexity. A roasty malt backbone carries underneath for a bready compliment that leads to a dry, crisp finish concealing its huge 9% ABV.

11/7/21 - BBA InvEster - For me, the bourbon notes overwhelmed this Belgian golden ale. Think I might prefer the original.

drinks like a nice cocktail. serve in a chilled whiskey or cocktail glass

Quite a good brew. Has a hint of bourbon flavor to it; slightly over spiced as the liquid drains from the glass.

too honey forward

Too sweet. Like drinking fruit juice.

This rating is for the Bourbon Barrel-aged version of invEster. Never had anything like it. So complex, and a refreshing change from juicy IPAs. Sweet, rich, an amazing golden ale.

Strong, sweet and interesting, but enough about me...
But seriously folks, this is good. Also, I had the bourbon barrel version.

All the taxman Belgian beers are great. They're all in the 'always buy' category.

floral, spicy ale with cream vanilla notes. not the quality of a true belgian, but still an excellent Belgian style.

Didn’t get honey or vanilla flavors.

originally I rated this very high but I think I had just reviewed a little too many to make proper judgment on this one. it taste like dust accidentally hit ur petty average low percentage beer (even though it up there). when I came back to give it a poor review I had already reviewed it lol.

amazing smooth. the flavors complimented each other perfect. I would buy again!!

Honey, boozy, vanilla on the nose. Spicy, honey and a little raisiny on the palate with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad, nothing super special though.

This was a tasty change of pace. Really close to the Blood and Honey from Revolver, and that’s a good thing. Sweet in the right way.

excellent beer. malty and smooth with vanilla and honey.

probably not a fair rating since I’m just not a fan of the Belgian style. was hoping this one was different

Nice golden ale. Vanilla/ honey notes do come through. Not my favorite golden ale, but like everything from Taxman Brewing, it’s worth drinking.

Not really getting the honey or vanilla taste in this one. Very hoppy sort of like an IPA. Not bad but not what I was expecting. You can probably pass on this one
