A Note on This Beer
The metalhead crew at Adroit Theory calls today’s brew “our ABSOLUTE favorite beer we make.”
Did your eyes just bug out of your head reading that? That’s how I reacted!
Then, I found out the beer in question is a rare rebrew of their Invisible Art Black IPA — a beer we haven’t seen a drop of since 2018 — and I nearly hyperventilated. What can I say? Beer gets me excited!
Especially a beer like this roasty, black-as-night IPA loaded with Sorachi Ace and Mosaic Hops! Take a sip, and hop-forward flavors of dank pine and bold resin play against notes of coffee and bitter chocolate from roasted malts.
Adroit didn’t stop there — they upped the umami factor with a careful addition of sesame seeds, adding a velvety body and complex layers of earthy nuttiness.
Crack one open for a buddy, and they’ll think you’re pouring a Porter, but one whiff of this brew reveals it’s something altogether different. In fact, your first sip of this surprisingly light-bodied brew might leave your head spinning! Is it a dark and roasty booze bomb with a 10% ABV? Or, is it a resinous hopbomb with West Coast roots?
The answer to both those questions is ‘YES!’
And honestly, that’s the best I can describe it. If you want to know more, you’ll have to try it for yourself! Just don’t be surprised when it defies your expectations in the very best way.
