Disappointing... it has a sour taste. Nothing in the taste, firmness or smell should allow it to be called an Imperial Stout.

Definitely the worst stout I’ve ever had. I held out high hopes because of the brewery even after reading other reviews but I couldn’t stomach the first sip and poured out the whole beer.

This has to be infected! Dominating flavor component is the sourness. But nowhere does it say it is mixed fermentation or is a sour. Either it’s infected or they are assholes for not making it clear this is a sour stout. Cause if are expecting a normal pastry stout you’re going to be disappointed

Love the brewer and style, but came up a little short. Was expecting a more robust roastiness between the coffee and stout, but instead tasted like a bitter blonde roasted coffee instead of beer. Not bad, but not as great as I had hoped.

This is terrible. Taste like coffee, vinegar and banana had a threesome.

Thought it was stout and not a sour! Terrible beer! Completed disappointed! Hard to believe Tavour would even offer this low quality beer. Waste of money!

Why is this a sour stout?

Thought it was skunked, but based on other reviews, I guess that’s what it’s meant to taste like?

I thought this was supposed to be a stout. Extremely sour with a little banana flavor.

Gross. We dumped it out after 2 sips.

Not impressed, not anything like the description. Not even stout like in the least.... we gave it a hard try.

It smelled like the description but after one sip it tasted spoiled. Tried another sip and it did not have the mouth feel of an imperial stout either. Not sure if something happened to it in transit but I did not like this one at all sorry.
