When California’s Abnormal Beer Company announced the release of today’s J. Daniel’s BA Maple Mornings, fans lost their minds. 

Understandably so! Regular BA Maple Mornings is one of the brewery’s most beloved Stouts with an eye-popping 4.40 on Untappd, so this hyper-limited specialty version was bound to attract plenty of attention!

So much attention that the brewery is already sold out. In fact, our little stash of just 20 cases might be the only bottles still available anywhere. 

To create it, the brewers took their rich, chocolatey, thick-bodied base Stout and aged it for over a year in Jack Daniel’s Barrels. To accompany those sweet notes of Tennessee whiskey, they added real maple syrup, creamy vanilla, and locally roasted coffee from their friends at Mostra.

The resulting brew tastes like a vanilla-maple mocha with a spike of Jack, and would make one heck of an eye-opener on a chilly Sunday morning. But if you want to try it, you’ll have to beat out all the other Stout fiends. Otherwise, not even a plane ticket to SoCal will help you score a taste.
