A Note on This Beer
“I don’t need you to tell me how f*#cking good my coffee is, okay? I’m the one who buys it, I know how good it is.”
That’s Jimmie talking to Jules in Pulp Fiction. It was the first thing I thought of when I heard about today’s limited edition Jibicho Coffee Cream Ale from 3 Magnets.
The GABF medalists at 3 Mags know that brewing a spectacular beer takes spectacular ingredients, so for today’s brew they needed “some serious gourmet sh*t” as Sam Jackson would say.
So founders Nathan and Sara Reilly went to their friends at Olympia Coffee and scored some single origin beans from Ethiopia. Beans grown by a man named Bedhatu Jibicho. Even in the Java soaked Pacific Northwest, coffee this good is hard to come by.
Luckily Nathan and Sara ran the beloved Darby’s Cafe in Olympia for over a decade, so they know coffee and they’ve got the hookup!
Open the can and let the creamy coffee aromas wash over you. It’s like walking into a gourmet espresso joint. Take a sip, and the light, sippable body carries waves of roasty espresso across the taste buds along with hints of cocoa and vanilla. The base beer is incredibly crisp and refreshing because it’s brewed with Kolsch yeast, and an addition of Styrian Dragon Hops adds a subtle earthiness that mingles wonderfully with the coffee.
Get a hold of a can of Jibicho and you’ll know that you’re tasting some real coffee, from a real farm, sourced by real coffee aficionados. Just don’t hesitate, because once this one-off creation is gone, it’s gone for good.
Give your buds a sip of this light, creamy ale and they’ll sound just like Jules after taking a sip: “MMM! Goddamn Jimmie!”
Unless your name isn’t Jimmie. Then they’ll probably say your name instead.
This beer is too new for ratings!
