A Note on This Beer
One of the city’s first breweries, Wilmington Brewing is responsible for helping grow their North Carolina hometown into one of SmartAsset’s Top 15 ‘Best Cities for Beer Drinkers’ in America.
And, unless you’ve spent time there, you’ve probably never had a taste. Locals snatch up Wilmington brews so fast that they barely make it to nearby towns, and today’s juicebomb is the first one to venture across state lines!
The brewers load Jorts Party IPA with “too many Mosaic Hops,” both in the whirlpool and the dry-hop, for obscenely juicy, orange-forward flavors. A backing of Warrior Hops in the boil brings even more zesty citrus to the 8% ABV festivities.
Each sip tastes like a glass of OJ garnished with ruby red grapefruit wedges, tangerine peel, and ripe mango, sprinkled with just a whisper of earthy spice on the finish.
We definitely recommend visiting Wilmington in the future to experience their local fandom up close. In the meantime, slip into your finest pair of denim cutoffs — it’s time to celebrate your first taste of these hop masters with a Jorts Party!
Wilmington has multiple medals from the NC Brewers Cup; one of the Top 10-ranked NC breweries on Untappd; “One of the area’s most respected brewers” according to Raleigh News & Observer.
