A Note on This Beer

Aslin Beer pulled out ALL the stops for today’s Imperial Stout, loading it up with hundreds of pounds of real blueberries, coconut, cocoa nibs, and one of the world’s rarest coffee varieties: Jamaican Blue Mountain.

Craft fans are seriously freaking out over its ridiculously rich aromatics, decadent flavor, chewy-thick body, and completely hidden 15% ABV!

Pour it into a snifter, and it smells like you’ve just walked into a coffee shop that’s also serving up just-baked blueberry scones. Roasty notes of freshly ground espresso and sugared-berry mingle together in a coffee-meets-confection kiss.

The flavor reflects the aromas, but with added sumptuous layers of creamy coconut and rich dark chocolate. Dark, bold coffee notes flow through each sip as well, and the bright blueberry adds a pop of sun-ripened fruitiness.

Aslin calls it Juan De Bolas, and we highly advise you don’t miss this chance to make his superb acquaintance!

Not a fan. Nose reminds me of a garbage can with a couple day old coffee grounds in there. Flavor is a bit better, but blueberry/coffee combo doesn’t work for me.

It’s hard to find any fault in this beer. The nose is so sweet with blueberries and the scent of coffee it’s almost like hung a beer shaped air freshener in your house and brewed a cup of coffee while waiting for the aroma to dissipate. The fact that it’s 15% is coconuts because it’s incredibly well hidden behind a mouthfeel that feels like your favorite truffle. This is a fantastic example of what beer can be. I’ll be picking up more of these if given the chance.

Interesting combination but I love it. You can definitely taste the Blueberry but it isn’t overwhelming. The ABV is high but it didn’t take away from the nice combination of flavors. Good beer, enjoyed it and would buy again

How they made this beer at 15% go down so smooth is unknown. I imagine hanging out at the campfire roasting some marshmallows such a great dessert beer

Fantastic coffee with the consistency closer to a syrup, it is so dark. Pouring a glass is like introducing a black hole to your room. It is amazing s will be one I look to order more of in the future.
