About This Beer
Yeah, Christmas is cool. And sure, Halloween is a hoot. But Bark Lord Day? Now that’s a holiday I’m way too stoked on!
It happens in May, and it’s Transient Artisan Ale's biggest barrel-aged release day of the year. At the release party they give sippers their first tastes of ridiculously opulent brews like Kentuckley 2021. And, as I’m sure many of their fans will tell you — it’s well worth the wait!
Tasting Notes
To craft Kentuckley (2021), the brewers aged their decadent Imperial Stout base in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for layers of opulent whiskey complexity. Then they swirled in vanilla, tugboat coffee, and Michigan maple syrup for flourishes of melty whipped cream, syrup-soaked pancakes, and decadent dark roast.

premium. rich. not a dessert beer, but a little sweet. big coffee and spice, smooths into vanilla. sweet but not sickly at the end.

Strong coffee flavor and heavy bourbon barrel aging. Stout base is a little bitter and maple and vanilla are not very present. Very light head from carbonation.
