About This Beer
To make it, the brewers started with a silky base of oats, Maris Otter malt, and a carefully selected blend of specialty English chocolate and crystal malts. They fermented the beer with an especially expressive English Ale yeast, then transferred it to fresh Kentucky bourbon barrels for over a year!
Tasting Notes
Roasty nuances combine with dark chocolate notes on the sip, bolstered by malty expressions of caramel and dark bread. Oak and a ribbon of bourbon carry through the finish, while the surprisingly light body makes for an incredibly approachable sip, even at 11.5% ABV.
