A Note on This Beer
- “Fantastic Kriek blend this year. Cherry comes through well.” @Syl W.
- “This time around, the flavors just keep coming. Sour, tart, cherry, oak . . . smooth and it makes you slow down and pause to consider.” @Gary B.
- “Really excellent this year. The cherry is delightfully woodsy to me.” @Danielle T.
Fans of cherry, rejoice! Block 15’s spontaneous fermented Kriek drinkers already agree that this 2021 vintage is some good stuff.
To produce this year’s release, the Oregonian brew crew took their Oud Bruin base, housed it in Bourbon barrels, and spontaneously fermented the batches in their wild cellars while conditioning them on Montmorency cherries for over two years!
With patience and time, the resulting batch is a complete and delectable marriage of tart, sweet fruit, and tinges of oaky character in every sip.
But, it only comes in small batches! We got our hands on 200 bottles TOTAL. So, don’t hesitate, grab a bottle before you’ll have to be patient and hear about how much people love the 2022 vintage.
