About This Beer
The GABF multi-medalists at pFriem masterfully craft La Mûre by blending old world Lambic techniques and mountains of local berries.
The legendary Oregonian brewers started by mixing beers aged one and two years in white wine barrels. Then they loaded the blend with 1,500 pounds of black cap raspberries and 500 additional pounds of marionberries. That’s more berries than most people see in a lifetime — all in one batch!
Tasting Notes
Each sip bursts with true-to-form dark berry pie notes, with a body that recalls a smooth, big bodied red wine. With a delightfully tart opening and a cooling finish of cedar and pepper, each quaff leaves a refreshing taste that lingers, begging for another sip.

More fruit/sour than Brett nuance like I expect from pFriem. It’s a tasty beer compared to most but not as good as I usually get from this brewery.
5.0
A good mix between wine and beer

Dee purple color with sour fruit on the nose and a little funkiness. Great acidity and get some barrel flavors along with that great sour fruit. Excellent!

Good wine and beer cross.

Really deep purple brown color, a clear and bright sour, very smooth, a little bit of a funk with woody undertones. Not exactly what I expect from a beer, but a pretty nice drinking experience. Would be a great substitute for any wine served with a charcuterie board.

Tart black cherry up front, followed by a dry sweetness that turns black licorice and chocolate as it settles. Lingers sweet but fades fast. Excellent flavors.

Impressive American lambic. Beautiful deep merlot color. Great tart and fruit bite, but I want more funk.

I thought this was incredible. Nice tartness and some good subtle funk. The fruit comes out nicely but it wasn’t to much. Would seek out any beers from them in the future

Gotta love a barrel aged fruit sour. Black berries raspberries are huge in this, and the overall sour is on point. Love it.

This one is absolutely mouthwatering. Dare I say perfection? Blackcap raspberries and Oregon marionberries all from the wonderfully beautiful state of oregon @pfriembeer knocks this lambic out the park with pure tartness from a white wine barrel age this tangy elegant elixir is sure to please! I definitely see why they call this one of the best breweries in America! And with more @pfriembeer in my Arsenal to try I think it’s safe to say I’m hooked!

Very tart sour but tasty. Not sweet but good berry taste. Leaves your mouth dry like a good red wine! Cool bottle and loved the cork

Zap of tart and mellow funk upfront. Bursting with tart berry and mellowed out by the barrel aging. Bubbly and slightly acidic

There's a nice fruit wine + red wine thing going on here, flavor-wise. Jammy aroma, but far more tart than sweet on the palate.
