A Note on This Beer
For Highland Park Brewery, small batch nimbleness is the name of the game -- only three years old, they’re helping put the Los Angeles craft beer scene on the map with their innovative creations. They infused today’s Lazy Susan Sour Ale with juicy California peaches and nectarines for a tangy sipper that fully shows their fruity sour mystique.
Lazy Susan caught our attention at this year’s GABF, and we knew its juicy tart stone fruit essence was the perfect introduction to Highland Park’s limited-release catalog -- its stellar ratings (4.26 on BeerAdvocate and 4.17 on Untappd) just seal the deal.
Aromas of peaches fresh off the tree rise from a cloudy light yellow pour. Mouth-puckering apricot nectar engulfs your tongue before bright lemon zest plunges in, and a sprinkling of peach fuzz funk rounds out the flavor flood. Tart nectarine and tight carbonation creates a sparkling lemonade-like mouthfeel, and the mellow 5% ABV means you can throw back a few of these quenching juicebombs before you’ll know what hit you.
Grab a bottle or two of Lazy Susan to share with your sour-loving friends, and get ready to start scheming a beercation to La La land.
