About This Beer
Bullfrog started with a Wild Ale spontaneously fermented in oak and aged upwards of four years! Then, they blended Ales matured anywhere from one to four years and aged it on black currants for an additional six months. Next, they bottle conditioned the brew with Belgian candi sugar for a crisp, effervescent body before finally cellaring Le Roar Grrrz Cassis for twenty months. That’s a total process time just shy of six years!
Tasting Notes
Incredibly deep and complex, every effervescent quaff carries notes of soft, farmhouse tang, sweet stone fruit, bright oak, refreshing lemon tartness and a dry, tannic finish.

Oaky, woody blast up front, settles into light cracker, white grape, and roasty vanilla bean. Amazingly complex, delicious blend.

Hint of tangy tannic, mostly amlam notes but soft and sweet oak dominated, needs more funk like most amlam but it is a nice sweet softness like overly ripe appley oak.

Delicious, really well done. Sour and floral without that vinegar bite that sometimes shows up in these kinds of beers. Should cellar well.

I really liked the ones with fruit added, so I had high expectations for this one. Definitely did not disappoint. Great showcase of the style and the base that goes into the series
