About This Beer
One of my favorite fall traditions is spiking my hot chocolate in anticipation of a haunted house’s terrifyingly long line.
It makes me feel cozy AND creepy.
The crew at Bottle Logic must have waited in some pretty horrific ques. They’ve captured the warmth and flavor of a tequila-spiked Mexican hot chocolate with their dangerously delicious Leche Borracho Imperial Stout!
Tasting Notes
Aged in Tequilla and Bourbon barrels, the brew’s malty backbone plays a silky smooth foil to oaky vanilla notes. Ancho peppers, rich cinnamon, and earthy cacao make each sip a complex reveal of autumnal baking spices and rich mole sauce.
The barrel heat underpins sweet tobacco and dark fruit, swirling around your palate and tingling your taste buds with a light, smokey spice. The dose of lactose helps keep the fire in check until you feel the body-warming 14% ABV creep over you.
