A Note on This Beer
Today’s Leila offers a taste of why everyone from local Seattle beer critics to national publications like Paste Magazine praise the “delicacy and drinkability” of Fair Isle’s brews.
This supremely sippable Saison brims with delicious nuances of pear, melon, and honeysuckle! On the finish, each lightly tangy sip is softly punctuated with notes of bread crust and a twist of lemon.
To coax out such an exquisite array of flavors, the brewers use a house blend of feral yeasts, along with a dose of purple Egyptian barley. These are hand-curated ingredients that you won’t find in any mainstream, grocery store beer. Like, ever.
That’s because brewers Geoffery Barker and Andrew Pogue are 100% dedicated to using local Washington ingredients and brewing Wild Ale styles only. They honed their creative craft alongside the Farmhouse legends at Jester King!
We’re looking forward to getting our hands on more Fair Isle brews in the coming year, but it’s going to be tricky. Fair Isle just opened in 2020, and their local fanbase is growing larger and fiercer by the day!
