The New Image crew wanted something a little more delicate than their typical Barleywine. So they consulted with the legends at Alesong and devised a recipe for an English-style Barleywine hybrid made with a little extra hoppiness in the whirlpool, and starting at a ‘relatively’ lower gravity of 28 plato. Then, they let it age for 6 months in a blend of Port and Cognac-finished bourbon barrels. Their bigger, burlier BWs would likely overshadow the intricate nuances of these exquisite barrels, but they really shine in #Life Unplugged.
