About This Beer
To craft this stunner, the crew combined the recipes of two fan favorites: Beer Geek Vanilla Shake and Traeblod. Both brews list coffee as an adjunct, but Traeblod utilized treacly maple while the Beer Geek Shake is loaded with creamy vanilla. Then they upped the ante by aging the decadent amalgam in a blend of Heaven Hill, Weller, & Old Fitzgerald barrels for over a year, infusing it with gorgeous whiskey-oak nuances.
Tasting Notes
Rich notes of crème brûlée fold into layers of artisanal mocha and molasses on every sip, while roasty undercurrents of chocolatey malts hold all the flavor together. A kiss of woody bourbon comes through on the backend, expertly playing against the heat from the 12.5% ABV.

Great BA stout. no adjuncts, nothing to hide behind. just a good old fashioned great BA imp stout.

A little sharp. Thick and boozy with heavy molasses but also comes off with a soy sauce flavor that’s not my jam. The aroma is great, I just wasn’t a fan of the flavor.
