About This Beer
@Alex B, who loves a sweet treat, said, “I could drink this daily!”
And with real carrots in there, why not? The crew at Mikkeller San Diego created a layered Imperial Stout base with complex caramelized malts by boiling the mash for eight hours. Then they aged it in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for over a year and folded in vanilla frosting, cinnamon, and — of course — this brew’s namesake orange veg.
Tasting Notes
Rich dark nuances of molasses, raisin, and coffee from the malts follow an impression of creamy frosting in each soft sip. Meanwhile, the combination of earthy spice and oaky booze warms the soul.
And with its bright carbonation, this barrel aged, 12.6% ABV pastry brew would be a delightful way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

Delucious—but it didn’t really evoke carrot cake

smooth and fabulous! thick and malty and would definitely order again. not “sweet” like a dessert but heavy and worth every drop!
