About This Beer
Millions of Americans are afflicted with a lifelong love affair with — and addiction to — chocolate.
We are chocoholics. We want it coating our potato chips, peanuts, and BEER. Thankfully, the Stout savants at Mikkeller are sympathetic to our needs. And after trying Lifeblod Reserve, I think they might be one of us.
That’s because they’ve crammed their Thomas H. Handy Rye Barrel Aged banger with mounds of earthy cacao nibs and chunks of dark Ecuadorian chocolate!
Tasting Notes
The pitch-black pour draws you in with a bouquet of top-shelf whiskey as thick sips unleash waves of fudge-covered raspberries. The shimmering sweetness and light tang of berry zips through the brew, dazzling your taste buds while the malts envelop a light oakiness and play foil to huge cocoa notes.
