About This Beer
Brix City Brewing gazed into the depths at the bottom of a Four Roses Bourbon barrel, only to see oblivian’s dilated pupils staring right back.
In the face of overwhelming nothingness, the crew crafted a brew to send screaming through the void. Consider this creation an act of bravery as you gaze, awe-struck, into the pitch-black pour of Lifeless Eyes!
A five-hour boil and dose of lactose help create a thick, dark-as-midnight Stout base aged for nine months in a barrel of Kentucky’s finest. Whatever lurks beneath rises to meet heaping scoops of toasted coconut, creamy peanut butter, single origin Dominican Republic Cacao Nibs, and Madagascar vanilla beans.
Tasting Notes
Waves of flavor from this velvety-thick Pastry Stout wrap fudge and coconut around your tongue like a melted Almond Joy bar. As the tropical confection fades, peanut butter comes on like a spoon of Skippy straight from the jar to the roof of your mouth.
A kiss of bourbon barrel warmth stays in check as a final wash of vanilla swirls past your taste buds. The end of the sip is so dangerously smooth you'll hardly notice the 10% ABV that slowly comes over you!
