A Note on This Beer
If you asked me a few years ago for a good non-alcoholic beer suggestion, I would have foolishly laughed. Little did I know, innovative brewers like Mikkeller were about to give the N/A game a complete makeover.
Their N/A brews are worlds away from the grocery store versions your dad drinks! And, of course they are. Mikkeller won Danish Brewery of the Year a whopping THREE times and frequently shows up on “Best Brewery” lists all over the globe — if there’s anyone who can transform N/A into craft, it’s them.
Which is fantastic, because we could all use a break from the big boozy digits, now and then. And right now, for the first time ever on Tavour, you get the chance to taste TWO excellent, shockingly flavorful examples of Mikkeller’s low-ABV craft lineup!
First up is Drink’in the Sun, a crisp and quenching Hoppy Wheat Ale. It clocks in at a most easygoing 0.3% ABV, though you’d never guess it between the layers of bright citrus and sweet grain.
I’m not the only one falling for this crushable magic either. Craft fans like @Herr M. declare it “Danish dynamite!” While @Sean K. says, it’s “Perfect for golfing… Refreshing AF and slightly sweet.”
As impressive as Drink’in in the Sun is, just wait until you get a taste of Limbo Yuzu. Mikkeller calls this 0.3% ABV Sour style a “Flemish Primitive Ale,” which is a new kind of beer, all its own!
To make this unique sipper, the brewers used their own passion fruit-forward house yeast strain and raw grains (unroasted and non-caramelized) for an effortlessly drinkable body. Then, they layered it in freshly tart, fruity flavor from tons of Yuzu citrus.
Fans are comparing the brew to “extra tangy lemonade” and praising its “smooth feel.” Then, there’s craft aficionado @Nate, who gushes, “Tastes like a sweet, bubbly and tart yuzu soda, but has the carbonation and body of a beer!”
Enjoy these special brews back-to-back, save them for separate occasions of crisp refreshment, or share them with a buddy who wants to try Mikkeller's craftsmanship and still be able to drive home afterwards! Heck, might as well snag extra while we’ve got a stash — they’re N/A, so the sky’s the limit to what you can crush!
