A Note on This Beer
Nobody goes to a magic show just to see a bunch of humdrum card tricks. They go to have their minds boggled by reality-bending feats of the supernatural!
Lucky for us, the Wild Ale wizards at Florida’s Odd Breed are experts at boggling minds with their tantalizing treats.
Just look at Live The Dash! It’s their entirely unique, Wild Ale twist on the New England-style Pale Ale that’s nothing short of magical. And, it’s all up to your taste buds whether you get more Pale Ale out of it, or more Wild Ale!
Odd Breed brewed this beer with imported Pilsner malt, wheat, and flaked oats to give it a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel and beautiful bronze haze. They also heavily hopped the brew with mounds of Mosaic in the boil for notes of citrus zest and a bitter pith.
From the boil, they moved the beer into French Oak Puncheons, where it rested for a whopping 12 months! During which time, it took on complex layers of Bretty, barnyard funk and a tingly limey tartness. To wrap up the flavor show, the brewers dry hopped it with whole leaf Amarillo and Ekuanot Hops, adding even deeper nuances of pine, papaya, and orange.
From the first sip to the last drop, Live The Dash is chock full of zippy flavors that dance around a fabulous, champagne-like effervescence. But, will you taste more Pale Ale or Wild Ale? That’s the real magic!
*Drink your bottle fresh for a more hop-forward experience, or age it for up to 5 years and let the Bretty funk elevate the fruity, tropical hops.
