A Note on This Beer
There’s a bakery in my neighborhood that specializes in coconut cream pie. Every time I pass their window, the sweet, enticing aroma of toasted coconut and whipped cream fills my nose — resisting temptation is an almost Herculean feat.
Luckily, I can satisfy my coconut cravings with Living to Get Radical, today’s Imperial IPA from Aslin Beer Co. In fact, this creative sipper is even BETTER than that luscious pie, because it drips with notes of tropical fruit and has a 9.3% ABV!
To brew it, Aslin’s craft confectioners partnered with their buddies at Heist Brewery in North Carolina. They dry-hopped this Hazy with Azacca, El Dorado, and Simcoe Hops for flavors of ripe mangoes, juicy peaches, and zesty oranges. Then, they conditioned it on toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla.
Each silky-smooth sip is like savoring a slice of coconut cream pie that’s topped with sliced mangoes and peaches!
Craft fans are calling this velvety sipper “crazy good” and “insanely well balanced.” But, unless you’re quick enough to dip into our 40 case stash, the only thing you’ll be calling it is “gone.”
The Washington Post calls Aslin one of Virginia’s “most buzzed-about breweries!”
