About This Beer
Like All of The Ale Apothecary’s brews, Lodgehouse was hand-crafted in a simple barn, deep in the mountains above Bend, Oregon.
These brewers believe that real craft starts with local ingredients, so everything they use comes directly from the natural splendor surrounding them. That includes the Oregon-sourced apple pomace, added while allowing the brew to spontaneously ferment in a giant clay pot (called a Novum) over the course of 2 whole years.
Tasting Notes
The multi year process required to craft Lodgehouse: Apple Pomace equates to a beautiful, invigorating, subtly tart sip with an embarrassment of riches in the flavor department. Its complexities begin with the bright apple juice note, followed by a light funk from the Oregon hill terroir, and finished with a kaleidoscope of oak and subtly sweet notes.
