About This Beer
To make this stunner, the brewers carefully blended two of their favorite vintages of their beloved Fundamental Observation Stout: the 4.49-rated 2019, and the double mash 2020 versions. Then, they let it age in hand-selected casks alongside a combination of Cook Island, Comoros, and Costa Rican vanilla.
Tasting Notes
The end result is an inky black pour teeming with impeccable roasty malty notes and decadent crème brûlée nuances. Hints of dried dates and dark chocolate ganache linger on the thick and chewy finish. The name Lost Coordinates must reference the ABV, because there’s hardly any trace of the boozy 14.5% anywhere in this sumptuous sip.
