About This Beer
The renowned Revolution crew created a gorgeous base brew, and then let it come to age in young French oak red wine casks from Saxum Vineyards in Paso Robles, CA. The end result is a totally unique and delicious take on the style.
Tasting Notes
It starts off with a rich, malty sweetness teeming with notes of dried dark fruits and caramelized sugar. Then come the barrel nuances, imparting an oaky kiss of baking spice, vanilla, and wine tannins, which totally obscure the boozy 12.3% ABV.

Medium body. Chewy red wine and light toffee taste. Very nice. Recommend.

Syrupy sweetness, almost to excess, and lingering off-putting aftertaste bring this down for me. Wanted to like this more as a BW fan. Appreciate the passion to innovate though.

Pretty much exactly as the write up describes. Very sweet. Carmel, super, toffee... Interesting finish. But not a good beer for me.

I think this tastes great. unique flavor. I keep feeling like there’s maple but there’s not. the wine barrel effect likely gives its sweetness.
