About This Beer
The dark beer masters at Perennial call their annual blend of non-adjuncted barrel aged Stout Maman (meaning ‘mom’) because this dark beauty has the complexity and strength to stand all on her own.
The crew began the 2024 version with the same rich, chocolatey base they use for Abraxas and Sump, then racked it into spirit-soaked oak to mature for upwards of a year.
Tasting Notes
Anticipate fudgy ganache tones with hints of roastiness to lead, woven through with ribbons of whiskey caramel, woody vanilla, and dark fruit. A touch of peppery spice might appear on the tail end, hinting at an ABV that’ll embrace you like a warm hug.
