About This Beer
To craft this 10% ABV stunner, the brewers took their heavily awarded Qualified Quadrupel Ale and added real maple syrup to the brew. Then, they let it luxuriate in maple syrup barrels. Next, they spent countless hours aging, blending, tasting, and aging some more!
Tasting Notes
Take a sip, and discover bold currents of maple cascading into notes of toffee and treacly, golden caramel. Sumptuous flavors of chewy dates and dried plums rise on the end, inviting you back for another taste.

Very nice quad, the maple taste is wonderful

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown, patchy, fine head. Sweet maple aroma. Taste also features the maple prominently, very sweet, woody malty. Boozy warmth late. You could pour this on your pancakes.

Maple! Mmmmmmm

That great maple flavor really makes this beer awesome!

Very sweet, very Belgian.

Whoa. On the same artistic level as pFriem's Smoked Maple Porter. The depth and balance of strong flavors is an experience. Definitely can tell the barrel aging vs pure sweetness of maple syrup.

Very good quad. Very subtle maple notes.

Dam that was a tasty brew.

Pleasantly surprised the maple barrel aging added positive complexity that I didn’t anticipate. Wonderful Belgium Quad with a twist.

Incredible maple syrup notes. Sweet yet subtle. Doesn’t taste like a 10% beer

I don't think Maple beers are my thing, still solid.

Too sweet

Overly sweet for a quad. I like the base though so decent.

Lots of maple flavor but not overpowering.

If you like maple you will love this beer. The maple flavor isn't overwhelming, but it's definitely there. Not syrupy or cloyingly sweet.

Major maple syrup aromas with just a hint of oaky vanilla on the nose. Thick, rich, maple syrupy deliciousness with hints of charred oak and bourbon. Slight roasted malt bitterness and a sugary sweet finish. Taxman is doing some big things and I want more!

Toffee, vanilla brulee, and a woody maple finish. This is simply deliciois.

Really rounded but quite sweet

Does not disappoint with the maple flavor. Nice well rounded mix of flavors. Not too cloying sweet as can go wrong. Subtle bitter/boose in the background
Truly a Belgian quad with maple as advertised
I’d split one can with someone
Not a crusher, do so at your own risk

Excellent Quad

+1 on the tasting the difference between maple barrel aging and maple syrup, maple complexity with way less sweetness/boozy-ness. Not as sweet as I was worried it might be, quite drinkable in my opinion (especially compared to some of the pastry stouts out there)

like drinking maple syrup straight from the bottle; delicious at first sip, then too much

Interesting flavor profile. Sweet taste but not overly sweet. Maple flavor is there but not overpowering.

It was like drinking maple syrup. Too sweet for my taste, but I could have guessed with an IBU of 28. Made me wish I had it with breakfast!

Maple not working for me but that’s on me (it’s in the GD name)… wish there was more Quad punch.

Another great beer from taxman. Maple flavor really comes through.

very nice and sweet would definitely get again!

Very maple forward, in a nice way that really goes well with the quad style and malty notes. Has a bit of a pecan pie vibe, without the pecan flavor. Quite balanced and well done overall

not too thick or have too much maple. nice balance.

There is nothing I hate more than pouring out a freshly opened beer, but holy shit, this is terrible. 100 percent undrinkable. It's like sipping Aunt Jemima straight from the bottle 🤢

te one can inordered showed up looking like it was dropped from an airplane and exploded. at least it smelled good

Chewy maple all up in your face! Loved this iteration, hope to see it again
4.5
Heavy maple syrup on the nose, complimented by that signature caramel sweetness on the palate. Despite the barrel aging, the ABV is not overwhelming, but can sneak up on you. It was a delicious evening
