About This Beer

Dayman // fighter of the Nightman // champion of the sun // you’re a master of karate // and dry hops for everyone!

Knock on wood, I’ve never had to fight the Nightman. But I feel like Dayman whenever I get my hands on Aslin’s black-belt-level hop chop, Master of Karate IPA.

Pouring this liquid sunshine into a glass makes you feel like a champion of the sun. And with a roundhouse kick of Mosaic, Galaxy, and Amarillo cones, this hoppy juice box floods the palate with an island’s worth of fruit!

Tasting Notes

Drippy mango, pithy grapefruit, and luscious blood orange swirl through each sip like a tropical throwing star. Meanwhile, subtly sweet berry and underlying pine notes bolster the succulent waves of flavor with added depth as they perform back-flips across your taste buds.

Very smooth NEIPA. Fruity, more on the tropical side. Not as bitter as I thought it was going to be, seeing it's an imperial.

Foggy with piney first whiff. Almost dangerous mango - grapefruit combo with balanced hop bitterness.

Had a bit of age and was still an outstanding NEIPA. Long time want, glad I tried it.

Nice Ipa! I think I got more a more resinous punch than the descriptions but overall dry finish and not sweet like I’m used to on imperial ipas.

4.36/5 look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25 Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Look- Frothy slightly off white head, deep gold, very hazy, small amount of particulate sediment, average head retention and lacing. Smell- Melon, mango, papaya, clementine, guava. Taste- Papaya, guava, mango, clementine, tart, pithy finish. Feel- Full body, nectar like, low bitterness, soft, astringent finish, below average carbonation. Overall- Very enjoyable beer.

I’ve had a couple of their other IPAs before and thought they were amazing and easy to drink and that’s someone who doesn’t like IPAs. This one was disappointing compared to those. You couldn’t taste the fruit notes as much as their other IPAs
