Fort George = fabulous stouts (and beer in general). Nicely balanced vanilla and cocoa, dessert style, modest BA character and limited depth for a base RIS.

Strong vanilla flavor followed by boozy bitterness

Very nice! Barrel aging process gave it a pleasant sent. The vanilla taste was mild and tasty.

Not as good as the other variants I’ve had. Something is off, there is a twang in the tail end. May have got a bad bottle.

Good beer flavor with the right amount of bourbon flavor.

Vanilla and chocolate notes followed by a bourbon aftertaste.

Good RIS base, with a very slight vanilla note. It’s hidden, but also very well-balanced. Definitely some barrel-aged goodness right here.

Good! A little bit of a letdown since I love Ft. George beer. Maybe my palette was just off for the night.

Second in the 2021 horizontal. Nose: strong vanilla notes along with the dark malt and chocolate base. Taste: vanilla adds a nice accent to the dark roast, chocolate, and charred oak notes. The vanilla avoids adding much sweetness and is a pleasing add.
