About This Beer
The brewers crafted this one with a complex malt bill featuring flaked oats and let it mature for 12 months in whiskey barrels. Plus, they wrapped it up in layers of decadence with additions of Veracruz and West Papua vanilla beans, cocoa powder, and cacao nibs.
Tasting Notes
Look for notes of fudgy chocolate to accentuate the roasty malts, conjuring hints of mocha on the palate. Creme brulee nuances and a touch of dark fruit should carry through to the silky finish, where you’ll find lingering hints of whiskey oak. And if past iterations are any indication, that big 14.7% ABV should be ultra-smooth, leaving just the right amount of warmth on the back end.
