About This Beer

This beer is SERIOUSLY special. Here’s why:

It started as a blend of Imperial Stouts aged for a whopping 21 to 30 months in freshly emptied 19 Year Elijah Craig bourbon, 15 Year Sazerac Rye whiskey, and 13 Year Old Forester Birthday Bourbon barrels. If you didn’t know already, these are some SERIOUSLY sought after barrels.

After aging, the brewers conditioned this opulent blend on mounds of hand-selected toasted coconut, raw coconut, smooth vanilla beans, and roasted cacao nibs and husks.

It’s from Weldwerks. The very brewery Craft Beer & Brewing crowned the #2 Best Small Brewery in the WORLD.

Tasting Notes

The finished beer positively overflows with notes of crème brûlée, brownie batter, and roasty espresso. Hints of cinnamon-sugar and vanilla frosting sparkle in the background with luscious coconut swirling throughout, creating a silky, almost creamy finish.

Sickly sweet and viscous. Some barrel to balance out but too syrupy and not enough "beer"character. Overall,sadly disappointed.

Has some good, decadent flavors here, but the body is just so poor. Yes, it's thick, but that's about it. It's entirely flat and syrupy. Literally like drinking alcoholic chocolate syrup. Giving a 4.25 since the flavors are truly nice. The body on this keeps it far away from greatness. Makes the whole experience kind of gross tbf.

I wanted to love this beer. They used amazing barrels. Unfortunately they ruined all of the barrel flavors with the additives in the secondary. Disappointing.
