A Note on This Beer

I’ll be honest; when I’m sipping a beer, I’m usually accompanied by my fluffy grey cat, who thinks that happy hour means hopping into my lap and “kneading biscuits.” Sure, sometimes it’s annoying, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Today, you can enjoy the deliciously refreshing Meowsonry! (Batch #3) alongside your own fur-baby. It comes to you via the Farmhouse experts at Jester King — one of the first breweries to introduce this style in the U.S.! Their Ales are so beloved, Craft Beer & Brewing ranks them the fourth-best small brewery in the world!

For this crisp and effervescent sipper, the Texas brewers partnered with one of Seattle’s favorite local restaurants, The Masonry. It’s inspired by the profile of an English Bitter, but with the refreshing tartness of a Farmhouse Ale.

You'll taste the succulent citrus flavors of juicy oranges and grapefruits, followed by a relaxing whisper of wildflowers, newly-mown hay, and a toasted malt finish.

Craft fans are calling Meowsonry “immensely quaffable” and “exactly the beer of my dreams”.

Delicious Ales like this don’t last long, so grab a few bottles while you can! A chilled glass of Meowsonry! pairs perfectly with afternoon snuggles — even the furry kind!

*Jester King was named one of the Top 35 Best Breweries of the Last Decade by both Paste Mag and VinePair!

I don't do sours, at all. This, was magic. Dank fruit, balanced tart flavor. Wish I bought more...

This seems like prime jester king to me. A light bitter saison, very drinkable and perfect invitation to beer for white wine drinkers. I enjoyed, and think of this beer often.

Crisp and citrusy with just the right amount of bitter at the end. One of the better saisons I’ve had.

A good tart saison with a nice white head that doesn’t go away. I don’t know about a best bitter though

Loved this bottle, pretty great farmhouse ale but would’ve loved a little more sour tang to it!

Stand out like I’ve come to expect from jester king. Neighbors loved the bottle art. I liked how tart the sour was and robust the wild yeasts were. Not the best ever but really enjoyable for a start to summer.

Bright and citrusy at first, then lingering bitterness. Not a beer I want to sip on its own; night pair okay with food.

Light and funky up front, tart and full of oak, lemongrass and a hint of bitterness. Lingers sweat and woody as it finishes.

Good beer. Crisp light tartness and funk. Lemon grass, oak and stone fruit notes. Good amount of bitterness

Pours golden with a light fizzy white head. The head drops but leaves a white coating on the top of the beer. Bright citrus with some grassy malt aromas. Light bodied, balanced bitterness, nicely effervescent and slightly tart. Malt flavor continues through as grassy or hay with some peach or citrus notes (from the yeast?). Maybe a touch of funk on the back of the palate. Finishes dry. Nice hot day beer

A great dry saison. Has a lovely fresh grass aroma a flavor with a citrus finish. I really enjoyed this excellent example of the style.
