About This Beer
Southern Grist brewed this crispy boi with freshly-picked spruce tips, juniper needles, and juniper berries for a whole Christmas tree’s worth of flavor. The verdant notes gorgeously marry with the bready base for a swig that might have you singing “O Tannenbier, O Tannenbier.”
Tasting Notes
Woody resin and fresh-baked biscuity nuances brim out of every holiday-worthy drop. Bright, tangy berry notes adorn the sip like vibrant ornaments before a malty finish kissed with gin-like tones.

not bad but wish the spruce/juniper was stronger

good evolution of spruce up front then juniper with a crisp finish typical of a lager

Best lager I have had since joining Tavour! The spruce and juniper is outstanding!

Spruce tip beer doesn’t actually taste like drinking a Christmas tree – it’s pretty darn good. And this is an excellent version, balanced and restrained but still unique. Nice stuff.

There are light notes of spruce up front, but wish it was more noticeable. Does have a nice, crisp finish though. Nice seasonal offering.

A ton of pine flavor. Finishe crisp and makes you keep drinking it

Strong scent of juniper and spruce, verging on hoppy. Crisp, dry lager with a peppery, hoppy flavor. Finishes with strong, botanical notes of gin and juniper, with a hint of spruce. Would have liked more of the woodsiness of the spruce as a complement to the pepperiness of the juniper.

Tree flavors and gin botanicals. Feels like a spruce tip lager but with juniper. Tasty
