A Note on This Beer
I have a confession to make: I’m terrified of bees.
As in, run away with my arms flailing and screaming like a three-year old, terrified. So, when I heard that the U.S. was invaded by Murder Hornets over the summer, I locked all of the windows in my house and bought every citronella candle on Amazon.
Luckily, I have Blackberry Milk of the Murder Hornet to keep me company as I hunker down in the safety of my basement. No, it’s not a guide for exterminating giant bees — it’s the new, fruit-packed Milkshake IPA from Hubbard’s Cave.
The original version was the very first Milkshake IPA from these Chicago craft experts, and the blackberry edition is as sweet and satisfying as a Dairy Queen Blizzard.
Hubbard’s Cave crafted it with berrylicious Mosaic Hops, along with real blackberries, velvety vanilla, and creamy lactose. As I sip it, my tastebuds are enveloped with thick and gorgeous foam, followed by the taste of juicy berries and vanilla ice cream. The 8.5% ABV is giving me liquid courage, so I may be able to venture outside for the first time in . . . um, we won’t say how long.
So, if you’re scared of bees, fear not. With this blackberry brew by your side, you can freely wander through gardens and forests to your heart’s content. It’s as soft and fluffy as fat little honeybees, and who doesn’t love those little buggers?
From a safe distance, anyway!
