A Note on This Beer
Members tell us again and again that Anchorage is an automatic YES for them - they don't even wait to check with the significant other - they just dive right on in!
And you literally should dive right in with today's beer - 'cause we're pulling it straight from our cellar and it's ready to share with whomever you deem worthy.
After 2 years of bottle conditioning, the Brett character in Anchorage’s oak-fermented Mosaic Saison has ripened to peak dusted lemon dryness. This is Brett flavor in its purest form and it’s ready to enjoy right now.
From the first whiff of musky, oak-tinged lemon peel, you know you’re in for a funkified experience. On the palate, it’s a brisk surge of woody spice, hay, and horse blanket. Echoes of dried orange and bitter citrus zest from Mosaic Hops reverberate in the background, amplifying the Brett profile. While complex, its lively carbonation sits light on the tongue. There’s something mystical about the way the flavors evaporate with such swift dryness.
Anchorage knows how to guide you along a journey into the sparkling depths of Brett. When we first tried it, Mosaic Saison showed Tavour the sophisticated funk of this special strain. Now, after more than two years in the brewery’s cellar, this vintage showcases Anchorage’s motto: “When brewing is an art, and Brettanomyces is king.”
So give your cellar a break and uncork a bottle of Mosaic Saison with your funk-loving friends. You’ll marvel at the depths of Anchorage’s Brett with each wondrous, musty sip. And don't forget to share!
