About This Beer
This Barleywine starts its life in the pitch-black abyss of bourbon barrels. For a year, it works into the liquor-laced cracks of oak until it soaks up the essence of the caramel and vanilla-tinged spirit.
Then, just at the peak of its powers, the brewers unleash its howling flavor upon the #BiL faithful.
Tasting Notes
Expect whiskey-kissed malts to flow through each chewy sip with notes of honey-drizzled dates and raisins. As the dark fruit fades, the barrel remains — a bold bite of bourbon washes away gooey molasses and toffee sweetness with the satisfaction of a Kentucky nightcap.

Toffee and toasted malt for days. But if I'm being picking (and I am), it's a touch thin. I enjoyed it and would purchase it again.

Really disappointed in this one. For the cost it was fine though.

this beer is good but I felt pulled in too many directions. sweet maple entrance with some distinct hoppiness, and then fig, raisin, vanilla, and caramel. boozy burn. good to try once

Toffee and caramel, plum and vanilla, develops into wood and bourbon, finish is bourbon, vanilla and a slight umami. Not too sweet and incredibly cohesive.

Notes of caramel, toffee and vanilla up front. Finishes with fig, raisin and bourbon. Very smooth and no bite from BA.

very drinkable. bourbon aging tastes great, but a little too sweet which gave it a syrupy feel.
